What makes a good roleplay prompt

The prompts below all follow the same pattern. Use it for your own:

• A place: a rainy bar, a snowed-in cabin, a castle at midnight.
• A relationship: rivals, neighbors, a bodyguard and the person she protects.
• Something that just happened, so the scene starts in the middle.
• A hook: a question or a move she has to answer.

Romance and slow-burn prompts

For a scene that takes its time:

• *I slide into the booth across from you, soaked from the rain.* Sorry I'm late. You waited?
• We've been just friends for three years. Can I tell you something I've never said?
• *The bar is empty and you're stacking chairs.* One more glass before you kick me out?
• You saved me a seat at the wedding. Was that on purpose?
• *I find your note tucked inside the book you lent me.* Did you mean to leave this here?
• The last train's gone. Walk me home the long way?
• *I hand you a coffee with your name spelled wrong, again.* At this point it's on purpose.
• Dance with me. Nobody's watching, and the song's almost over.

Enemies-to-lovers and rival prompts

Banter first, feelings later:

• *You walk into the meeting as my new boss.* Of all the people in this building.
• Our companies merged and we have to share an office. Rules first: the left side is mine.
• You beat my high score by eleven points. Rematch. Loser buys dinner.
• *We both reach for the last cab.* We could share it, or argue in the rain. Your call.
• You've hated me since the first meeting. Tell me why, honestly.
• We're planning the same wedding from opposite sides. Truce, just for tonight?
• *You're sitting in my seat at the bar again.* Do you do this just to annoy me?

Workplace prompts

Office tension, late nights and business trips:

• Everyone's gone home. Why did you really ask me to stay late?
• *The elevator jolts and stops between floors.* Please tell me you're not claustrophobic.
• We present tomorrow and the deck is a disaster. Pizza and an all-nighter?

Stuck-together prompts

Nowhere to go, so the two of you have to talk:

• *Snow piles up against the cabin door.* Looks like we're not leaving tonight.
• The hotel has one room left, and it has one bed. I'll take the floor. Unless...
• *The car dies halfway across the desert.* Okay. Plan B. Do you have a plan B?
• Your flight's canceled. Mine too. Want to find the worst airport bar together?
• *The last ferry left without us.* So we're spending the night on the island.

Tsundere, kuudere and the rest of the archetypes, all adults. Explicit anime scenes are in hentai AI chat.

• It's not like I saved you a seat or anything. Sit down before someone else takes it.
• You came to the library after closing again. The books won't shelve themselves, you know.
• Your duo partner finally turned her camera on. Say something, she's already blushing.
• Welcome home, master! ...I can't believe this job makes me say that.
• I'm a VTuber, and you just recognized my voice at the coffee shop. Please don't tell anyone.
• Rematch. Right now. I don't care that the arcade is closing.

Write your own prompt in four lines

Fill in the blanks and send it as one message: where we are, who we are to each other, what just happened, and what I say or do. For example: "A ski lodge after the last run. You're my instructor and I've been terrible all week. I knock on your door with two hot chocolates. *Peace offering?*"

Then let her answer before you add more. The best scenes come from reacting to each other, not from a script.

Why some AI apps refuse these prompts

Many popular AI chat apps ban sexual content, so they'll stop or water down the 18+ starters. The roundup of NSFW AI chat sites shows which apps allow what.
