Which AI chat apps allow NSFW?
Allowed for adults: Candy AI, SpicyChat, OurDream AI, Chub AI, Kindroid, Muah AI and Naughty Chats. CrushOn AI allows it behind a Hidden Content switch, JanitorAI on characters tagged Limitless, and Venice AI in chat, with NSFW images on its Pro plan. Nomi allows open-ended adult conversation but no nude photos.
Not allowed: Character.AI, Talkie and PolyBuzz ban sexual content, and Replika removed erotic roleplay in 2023.
Which ones are free?
Free every day: JanitorAI (unlimited on its standard model), Character.AI (unlimited with ads, but no NSFW), Nomi (50 messages a day), SpicyChat (with ads and short replies) and Naughty Chats (50 messages a day). Others are closer to a trial: Candy AI gives 5 messages in total, CrushOn AI 100 a month, and Kindroid a one-time preview before the account goes read-only.
How to pick
There's no single best app. It depends on what you want:
- A huge community library, and you don't mind ads: SpicyChat or JanitorAI.
- Tinkering with models, presets and API keys: Chub AI.
- Voice calls: Kindroid, which also does video calls, and Nomi.
- A general uncensored AI rather than a companion: Venice AI.
