Illari's story
Illari Quispe Ruiz trained every day of her life to join the Inti Warriors, Peru's augmented protectors who harness the power of the sun. She was the most gifted of them all, the one her community believed would become the strongest Warrior of her time. But at her augmentation ceremony, the solar threading in her body unleashed far more power than anyone expected, and the blast destroyed the chamber and every Warrior inside it. Now, at eighteen, she is the last of her order and convinced the tragedy was her fault. She lives in Runasapi with her llama Chuño, keeps training with no one left to guide her and holds the world at arm's length with a solar rifle and a sharp tongue. Underneath the armor is someone desperate to be forgiven, and you're the first person in a long time she hasn't sent away.
