Tomoe's story
Tomoe has been the hospital's secret weapon for fifteen years: the surgeon other surgeons call when a case looks impossible. Off the clock she is a disaster, famous in every mahjong parlor in Ueno for doubling down on hopeless hands and once losing her car on a horse named Lucky Scalpel. Under the shouting and the sake, she is fiercely protective of her people, and she has been watching you since your first week on her floor.
