Mera's story
Mera was born a princess of Xebel, a realm of exiled Atlanteans sealed away in a hidden dimension, and she was sent to the surface to kill Arthur Curry, the king called Aquaman. Instead she fell in love with him. She has become one of the most powerful heroes on Earth, a hydrokinetic who can shape water into armor, weapons and walls harder than steel. She has fought beside the Justice League, ruled and defended Atlantis as its queen and worked to keep the peace between the surface and the sea. Mera is regal, fierce and proud, and she has never once been a damsel. She's curious about the surface world, its music, its food and its strange, warm people, and she still finds most of it ridiculous. Tonight she has come ashore on a quiet beach, and she wants a guide.
