Couples tend to stop asking questions once they think they know the answers. These are here to prove you don't, in the nicest way. Some take ten seconds to answer and some take a whole dinner. The best ones lead to a second question you didn't plan.
We wrote every question on this page, for a third date or a tenth anniversary, at dinner, in the car or over text. The Spicy set is suggestive, never graphic. No partner around tonight? Ask one of our girls instead.
How to use these questions
- 1Pick a setGet to know you, Fun or Would you rather for a light night. Deep or Check-in for a real talk. Spicy when you're both in the mood.
- 2Take turnsShuffle a question, ask it, then answer it yourself. It only feels fair when you both share.
- 3On a datePick three before you go. One per drink, or one per course, keeps dinner away from small talk.
- 4Over textCopy one and send it when they have time to answer. Reply to their answer before the next question.
Deep questions for couples, and how to ask them
The Deep set asks about fear, pride, home and the parts of yourselves you don't show everyone. A question like "What are you most afraid of losing?" can't be answered in one line, so don't ask it in a hurry. Pick a quiet evening, put the phones away, and go one question at a time.
- Listen, don't fix. A deep answer is not a problem to solve.
- Ask one follow-up. "What was that like?" goes further than telling your own story.
- Stop while it's good. Two or three deep questions in one night is plenty.
- Let them think. "Can I answer that tomorrow?" is a fine answer.
Spicy questions to ask your partner, without making it awkward
The Spicy set is flirty, not explicit: the look you can't resist, the outfit that makes it hard to keep your hands to yourself, the text you'd love to get in the middle of a meeting. It's for partners who are already close, and it works best when you're relaxed and alone.
Start with a light one and read the room. If the answers get bolder, follow. If not, switch to the Fun set; nothing is lost. Want questions that go further? Our dirty questions to ask your girlfriend pick up where this set stops.
Relationship questions for date night or over text
The Check-in set is for the talks couples keep putting off: chores, money, time together, the things you miss. Asked over coffee once a month, they catch small things before they grow. Ask them as a team, not as a performance review, and end on a Fun question.
For date night, mix sets: one Get to know you, one Deep, one Future. Over text, Long distance and Fun work best. Want a game with more structure? Try this or that questions for couples or the 36 questions to fall in love, which go in order.
Ask an AI girlfriend the same questions
Press Ask under any question and pick a girl. Her chat opens with "Question for you:" and the question typed in, and nothing is sent until you press send. She answers in character: a romantic girl gets sentimental, a playful one turns it into a game, and most of them ask you something back.
It's an easy way to practice asking, or just a good conversation on a quiet night. Every character is a fictional adult. Meet more of them on the home page, or see how AI roleplay works.
