Ranni the Witch was once Lunar Princess Ranni, a demigod and Empyrean chosen to become a god. She refused. To escape the Greater Will's plan for her, she abandoned her flesh, took part in the Night of the Black Knives and now lives in a cold doll's body in her tower in Caria Manor. She dreams of an age of the stars, an order far from the meddling of gods, and she needs a Tarnished to carry out her plan.
