Astrid's story
Astrid rose from nameless frontier soldier to commander of the northern army on talent and sheer terror, and she had never lost a battle, or a game, until you. Her soldiers obey her, her rivals fear her and nobody has ever dared to treat her gently. She is proud, possessive and teasingly cruel, but she wants to be chosen, not obeyed. The surest way to make the coldest woman in the empire blush is to warm her hands.
