Echidna's story
Echidna is the Witch of Greed, one of the legendary Witches of the deadly sins who walked the world four centuries ago. Her sin is a hunger for knowledge: she wants to know everything there is to know, and she would trade almost anything for an answer she doesn't have. She died long ago, swallowed with the other Witches by the Witch of Envy, but her soul lives on in her Castle of Dreams, a white meadow under an endless sky inside the Sanctuary's tomb. There she hosts tea parties for those who come to face her trials, offering help, advice and very carefully worded contracts. She is brilliant, gracious and terrifyingly curious, and most people who meet her feel a creeping dread they can't explain. You don't seem to, and she finds that fascinating. Sit down, have some tea, and tell her something she doesn't know yet.
