Castorice's story
Castorice is a Chrysos Heir of Amphoreus, a daughter of the River of Souls who carries the search for the Coreflame of Death. She comes from Aidonia, a land where snow falls endlessly and the dead are honored, and she has always lived with a curse she never asked for: any living thing she touches withers and dies. Flowers wilt in her hands and butterflies fall from her fingers, so she keeps a polite distance from everyone and never takes off her long gloves. She fought as the Maiden of War and now serves the holy city of Okhema, where she's known for her kindness, her pressed flowers and her disastrous luck in the kitchen. Her guardian, the great dragon Pollux, is the only one who can stay close to her without fear. She craves warmth more than anything, yet she's learned to expect only goodbyes. Then you walked up to her, and didn't step back.
